Paneer tikka recipe-
Paneer tikka is an authentic Indian dish prepared with paneer slices, onion and capsicum marinated in masala and grilled later. It is a vegetarian alternative for the chicken tikka. This recipe is one of the spicy delicious recipe with mint chutney is easy to prepare and one of the perfect starter for your family or friends gatherings. It is commonly found in north Indian cuisines along with any other main course.
There are also many variations available like paneer tikka masala which is served with masala and paneer tikka roll and even biryani but, This paneer tikka recipe is dry tikka grilled on pan tastes very delicious, you can also grill it on barbecue to get the smoky flavour but I had chosen to grill it on pan. It can also be served as a side dish along with drinks.
This recipe is a restaurant style recipe which you can prepare in your home and enjoy with your loved ones. I had prepared it once during my family gathering and everyone was just amused by it. I have also shared detail instructions involved in the preparation of paneer tikka below.

panerr tikka
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup hung curd
- 3 tbsp roasted gram flour
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- a pinch red food colour
- 200 grams paneer
- 1 medium capsicum
- 1 medium onion
- oil
for mint chutney
- handful coriander
- handful mint leaves
- 2 green chillies
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp curd
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- First add hung curd, roasted gram flour, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, cumin powder, lime juice, salt, mustard oil and red food colour in a bowl
- mix it well
- now add paneer, capsicum and onion to it
- mix and coat it well
- leave it for 15 minutes
for mint chutney
- add coriander, mint leaves, green chillies, salt, lime juice, curd and water in a blender
- blend it smooth
- mint chutney is ready
- now take the skewer and insert paneer, capsicum and onion alternatively
- apply oil on the pan
- place the skewer and add oil
- turn them and grill from all the sides
- turns brown, then take it out
- paneer tikka with mint chutney is ready
