Thepla recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup methi/fenugreek leaves
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp green chilli
  • 1/4 tsp carom seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup curd yogurt

Instructions

  • To prepare methi thepla first, add methi, ginger paste, green chillies, carom seeds, turmeric, red chilli powder, salt, sugar and oil
  • mix it well
  • add little wheat flour and mix it well
  • now add all the flour and curd and knead it
  • add curd in batches and knead a soft dough
  • add oil and knead a little
  • now take a small portion and dust some flour and roll it very thin
  • Heat the pan and brush some oil
  • cook it on medium heat
  • flip it and brush some oil
  • press and cook on both sides until done
  • Methi thepla is ready
