Garlic naan can be made two ways, with and without oven. In our recipe of garlic naan we show both ways. Also use of dry yeast is upto you. If you don’t like it or couldn’t find it, no worries you can definitely skip this step. Garlic naan is basically an Indian bread which we eat occasionally with special Indian curries like Palak Paneer, Shahi Paneer, Chole, Chicken tikka, Butter Chicken or even daal. It just tastes awesome. In this Garlic naan recipe, I have used all purpose flourĀ but it can also be made using Wheat flour, which has more fibres.

Garlic naan
Servings: 2 people
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 cup flour/ maida
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4 tbsp curd
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 clove garlic
- coriander leaves
Instructions
- To prepare garlic naan first take water and add sugar and yeast
- mix it well and keep it for 10 minutes
- now take a bowl and add flour, salt, oil, curd and prepared yeast mixture
- mix it well
- add water and knead a soft dough
- cover it with using wet cloth and keep it for 1-2 hours
- now take butter in a bowl and add garlic and coriander leaves
- mix it well
- now apply oil on the palm and knead the dough a little
- take a small portion and roll in oval shape
- strech it a little using your fingers
- apply water on the side
- place it on a baking tray and apply prepared garlic butter
- bake it on high for 3-4 minutes
- take it out and brush garlic butter
- Now to cook with out oven place the prepared naan on the hot tawa
- cook for a minute on both sides on flame using wire
- brush garlic butter
- garlic naan is ready
