Cajun potatoes-
Cajun potatoes or also known as honey chilly potatoes is an American cuisine developed by the Acadians. It is also one of the popular dish from classic cajun cuisines. Cajun cuisines have got vast history regarding how they lost their original culinary cuisines and developed classic cajun cuisine style. They also use a lot of different cooking methods and style which are very popular nowadays.
This delicious cajun potatoes recipe I have prepared using potatoes, cajun spice and honey as the main ingredients. It is also called honey chilli potato since it contains honey as one of the ingredients. Cajun spice contains spices like onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, thyme etc. which makes the dish very tasty, delicious and spicy too.
I had already shared another honey honey chilli potato recipe which is similar but different from this recipe. Many recipes also you can find online which are similar to barbecue nation style but this recipe is very different and very delicious and therefore I have decided to share this recipe today.
Serving-
- serve mild hot
- You ca also serve it with any dips like mayonnaise or tomato ketchup
Important points-
- double deep fry the wedges to get crispy and juicy taste
- add the honey at last
- do not over cook after adding honey

cajun potatoes
Ingredients
- 3 large potato
- water
- 1 tsp oil
- 2 tbsp flour/maida
- 2 tbsp corn starch
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp cajun spice
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup spring onion
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp honey
Instructions
- take 3 large potatoes and cut them into wedges
- add water and soak it for 30 minutes
- take it out
- dry it completely using a kitchen towel
- transfer it in a bowl and add, oil, flour/maida and corn starch
- mix and coat it well
- drop it in hot oil
- fry it on high heat until light brown
- take it out and leave for some time
- again double fry it on high heat until dark brown
- take it out
- now add oil, ginger and garlic in a pan
- fry it for a minute
- add onion and fry until translucent on high heat
- add soy sauce and chilli sauce
- mix it well
- add the potato wedges
- mix it and coat it well
- now add cajun spice and sesame seeds
- mix it well
- add spring onion and mix it
- add vinegar and mix it
- add honey and mix it well
- garnish it with sesame seeds and spring onion
