peanut masala

Ingredients

  • 2 cups peanuts
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida/hing
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry ginger
  • 1 tsp citric acid
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 cup gram flour
  • 3 tbsp rice flour
  • water
  • 1/2 tsp soda

Instructions

  • To prepare crunchy masala peanuts first, add peanuts, asafoetida, chilli powder, black pepper, cumin powder, cinnamon powder, dry ginger, citric acid, salt and oil in a bowl
  • mix it well
  • now add gram flour, rice flour and water and mix it well
  • add soda and add more water if required and mix and coat it well
  • drop one by one into oil on low medium heat
  • fry until it turns golden brown on low heat
  • crunchy peanut masala is ready
