Ingredients
For frying
- 6 tbsp oil or ghee
- 200 g paneer
For matar paneer
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 onions medium sized
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chillies chopped
- 1 cup tomatoes chopped
- 2 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp kasuri methi
- 1 cup green peas
- ½ + ½ cup water
For Garnish
- Handful coriander leaves chopped
Instructions
For frying
- Heat 6tbsp. Oil in a Kadai and add paneer cubes to it.
- Fry the paneer till golden brown while flipping it so that all sides are cooked evenly.
Making matar paneer
- In the same oil add cumin seeds, chopped onions, and fry until translucent.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, chopped tomatoes and mix everything well.
- Add salt and let it cook until soft and dry.
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, kasuri methi and mix it well.
- Add green peas, ½ cup water and cook for 4minutes on medium heat.
- Add the fried paneer and ½ cup water to the kadai and mix it well.
- Cook for 2 more minutes on medium heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot and enjoy!

- Add the paneer and 1/2 cup more water then mix it well.
- Cook for 2 more minutes on medium heat and finally garnish the dish with chopped coriander leaves.
