Sewai upma
Servings: 2 people
Ingredients
- 3 tsp oil
- 1 tsp urad-chana dal
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp methi seeds
- 1 green chilli
- 8-10 curry leaves
- 1/3 cup peanuts
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 cup carrots
- 1/2 cup beans
- 1/2 cup potato
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup vermicelli roasted
- 1 tsp lime juice
Instructions
- To prepare vermicelli upma first add oil, urad-channa dal, mustard seeds, methi seeds, in a pan
- fry it for a minute
- add green chilli and curry leaves and fry it for a minute
- now add peanuts and fry for 2 minutes
- add onion and cook until it becomes translucent on medium heat
- now add carrots, green beans and potatoes and mix it well
- add salt, mix it and cover and cook until it becomes soft
- add water, salt and black pepper and mix it well
- let it boil and now add vermicelli and mix it
- add lime juice and mix it well
- add a teaspoon of oil and keep stirring till it dries
