Tips for perfect ice cream
- Always use chilled ingredients while making ice cream. Like chilled whipping cream and chilled condensed milk so that ice cream sets easily.
- Keep the bowl and the whisk in the freezer before making ice cream. This will help make the ice cream making process easier.
- Make sure to use a double boiler for melting chocolate or else the chocolate can burn.
- Always use fresh ingredients.
- Never add milk or water to the ice cream because that will make crystals in the ice cream.
FAQs
- Can I make ice cream without a hand mixer?
Yes, you can also use a whisk to mix the ice cream if you do not have a hand mixer. Make sure not to over mix the ice cream or else the butter will separate from the cream.
- Can I use the same chocolate syrups for pouring and the swirls?
No, both the syrups are different and cannot be replaced by each other. The syrup used for swirls is Hershey’s chocolate syrup whereas a homemade syrup is used for garnishing.
- How to store ice cream
Ice cream should be kept in an airtight container to prevent crystals. It should be kept as cold as possible to retain the ice cream texture. If there is a huge change in temperature then crystals might form in the ice cream.
